Job Description Distribution Data & Strategy Analyst 9911 Woodend Rd, Edwardsville, KS 66111 MO131 Third Party Logistics Store Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm Up to 28 hours/week OVERVIEW: Working as Part-time Distribution Data & Strategy Analyst, you will be responsible for improving operational and business objectives within Distribution. You will analyze production, inventory and product flow data, assisting with the development of tools that prove business concepts and drive efficiencies across multiple departments. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: o Developing standardized reporting tools in collaboration with distribution center and operations personnel o Supporting the implementation of strategic business plans for analytics and reporting purposes o Implementing and creating efficiencies for various processes o Creating technical documentation for projects o Maintaining data security and integrity while meeting deadlines REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess or are working towards a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or Business OR possess at least 2 years of relevant work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Willingness to work a flexible schedule o Willingness to travel o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess experience using programming languages such as VBA, SQL, R, Python and Java o Possess experience using data visualization, analytical software or an Oracle database such as Tableau, Power BI, R, PeopleSoft, etc. ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
