Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Network Administration to provide services and responsibility for LAN/WAN, network segments, and Internet and intranet networking systems. All candidates must be US citizens and work onsite in either Bethesda, Gaithersburg, or Rockville, MD. We are not entertaining agency, 1099 or C2C inquiries Responsibilities: • Perform active troubleshooting of high-severity incidents in priority order from the time of receipt until the problem is resolved or a workaround accepted by the user is in place, and immediate action on all high-severity incidents • Provide support for routers/switches/firewalls/network appliances • Provide router and switch installation/administration/troubleshooting • Provide router/switch/firewall software installation/upgrades • Provide Proxy device installation/administration/troubleshooting • Provide DNS/IPAM, TCP/IP, DHCP, VLAN, LAN and Wi-Fi installation/ administration/ troubleshooting • Provide networking protocols installation/administration/troubleshooting • Provide support for a network environment with voice, video, data, operational data and mobile applications. Qualifications: • Experience, education, or training in installing, configuring, and maintaining network and/or security equipmen • Experience in documenting network designs using Visio and other Microsoft Office applications. • Experience in analyzing problems, gathering information, and recognizing solutions. • Wide range of networking concepts, principles, and practices in this occupati • Experience with Network firewalls, Network Security appliance, VPNs and security access control methodologies. • Knowledge of wireless networking technolog • Experience with network segmentation, DNS, DHCP and I • Certifications must include one or several of the following: Apple Certified Support Professional, Apple Certified Specialist, Certified Casper Administrator, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundations, Microsoft Certified IT Enterprise Administrator (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) • Bachelor's Degree preferred but years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degreee.
