This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in shaping the security posture of our client's complex infrastructure, developing robust strategies for threat mitigation, data protection, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network security, application security, and identity and access management. You will be responsible for conducting security assessments, defining security requirements for new systems and applications, and architecting secure solutions that align with business objectives. This role demands a strategic mindset, the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable plans, and hands-on experience with a wide range of security technologies and protocols. You will lead security initiatives, mentor junior security engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the development lifecycle. A strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2) is essential. Develop security standards, policies, and best practices. Lead threat modeling and risk assessment activities. Architect secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures. Define and implement identity and access management (IAM) solutions. Evaluate and recommend security technologies and tools. Provide security guidance and oversight for application development teams. Conduct security audits and compliance assessments. Develop incident response plans and strategies. Mentor and guide junior security engineers and architects. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture. Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies. Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions. Proficiency in cryptography, authentication protocols, and secure coding practices. Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts. Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSK) are highly desirable.
