Join Stryker As A Principal DevOps Engineer Stryker is currently hiring a Principal DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will be a vital part of our DevOps team, responsible for maintaining, designing, and implementing CI/CD pipelines as well as developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for public cloud. Additionally, you will oversee day-to-day operations of various internal and external SaaS products. We emphasize automation of operational tasks and are seeking an operational engineer with a developer mindset. As a member of a small team, your ability to learn quickly and work independently is crucial. You will take ownership of your work and results. What You Will Do • Manage network protocols, software, and infrastructure including VPNs, DNS, and network security. • Participate in incident response for customer and stakeholder issues. • Demonstrate knowledge and practical experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub. Use your proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines following best practices. • Utilize your skills in managing application and infrastructure configurations, with a focus on handling sensitive information securely. • Use your strong communication and analytical skills, enabling you to convey complex design concepts persuasively to diverse audiences. • Be proficient in work item tracking, capturing service notes, and meticulous documentation. • Bring your proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-class on-premises and cloud solutions from concept to production release. • Have a solid understanding of Linux OS, Git, SSL, SSH, and certificate management. What You Need (Required Qualifications) • BS Computer Science / Engineering or related field and 8+ years of experience maintaining applications and services on AWS (EC2, S3, Route53, CloudFront, CloudFormation, Lambda, EMR) including 3+ years in a DevOps role. • Experience setting up highly available and scalable databases, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MariaDB. • CI/CD experience with tools like Azure DevOps, Harness, GitHub or similar, including Stage/Production (Blue/Green/Canary) deployments. • Basic hands-on Linux and networking - concepts, design, and troubleshooting. • Hands-on experience with configuration/infrastructure automation using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and Bash for both Windows and Linux environments. • Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, config maps, pods, ingress controllers, and load balancers (AWS EKS, Kops). Preferred Qualifications • Expert level networking experience is highly preferred. • Development of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub. • Hands-on experience with automation on Linux and Windows using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and bash. • Deep understanding of Docker, helm, and managed Kubernetes including deployments, config map, pods ingress controllers, load balancers. • Experience with relational databases. $129,600 - $286,500 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
