The DevOps Database Architect will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems to support scalable, secure, and reliable software deployment and data management processes. This role involves collaboration with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to streamline the DevOps pipeline, optimize data flow, and ensure the resilience and performance of all database environments. Database Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and high-availability database architectures, ensuring data integrity and security. DevOps Pipeline Integration: Integrate database workflows into CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment, updates, and rollback processes. Database Performance and Optimization: Continuously monitor, tune, and troubleshoot database performance issues. Security and Compliance: Enforce database security policies, manage access controls, and conduct regular audits for compliance. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and infrastructure to support database needs. What you need: 7+ years of experience in database management or architecture roles, preferably within a DevOps or cloud environment. Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or Cassandra). Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Python, Bash, SQL scripting) for database deployment and maintenance. Demonstrated experience integrating databases into DevOps processes and automation pipelines. Prior experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their managed database services. Knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance requirements (e.g., Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
