Join an innovative team at Fisher Investments Technology Department as a Senior DevOps Tools Specialist! This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our Corporate Systems team as we implement scalable and strategic solutions to support our global growth. The Role: As a vital member of the DevOps team, you will ensure that our Agile development tools run smoothly for our application development teams. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the Technology organization to provide the tools and platforms essential for promoting Agile planning and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). This position reports to the DevOps and Tools Team Leader within the Application Engineering team. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with DevOps and Application Development Team Leads to outline application and integration development processes, execution strategies, and monitoring tools that align with long-term architecture. • Configure and support cloud-based Atlassian tools to enhance application development efficiency and operational stability. • Create tooling and processes that boost automation in adherence to security, audit systems, and controls. • Integrate additional frameworks to ensure Agile practices are embraced at scale. • Promote the utilization of DevOps tools across various Technology groups. • Implement strategies that enhance our DevOps processes and tools. • Monitor system availability and performance based on established timelines. • Address issues, alerts, and incidents in accordance with predefined service level agreements. • Coordinate communication with other departments regarding service lapses and conduct root cause analysis. • Provide 24/7 international support through on-call duties and maintain a flexible schedule for necessary maintenance. Your Qualifications: • At least 7 years of experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AppDynamics, and Splunk. • Expertise in Ansible Tower and Ansible Automation Platform for infrastructure and application deployment automation. • Proficiency in scripting languages including Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, or HCL. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS. • Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Jira Align, Confluence and Mural. • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management. • 4 years of relational database management experience (MSSQL, MySQL, SQL, Postgres or MongoDB preferred). • Strong understanding of technology design encompassing containerization, performance, security, availability, and monitoring. • Proven ability to train IT product delivery teams on DevOps best practices. • Inspire and motivate teams towards continuous improvement. • Strong planning skills for self and others, with a knack for resolving technical challenges effectively. A Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other scientific fields is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Compensation: • Base salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year. New hires should expect to start towards the lower end of the range based on their experience. • Opportunity for a discretionary bonus based on both firm and individual performance.
