Job Description Sr. Software Engineer (Microsoft Power Platform) Position Summary Our client is seeking a skilled Sr. Software Engineer (Microsoft Power Platform). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable solutions. The Sr. Software Engineer (Microsoft Power Platform) will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality applications that drive business value. This company leverages JD Edwards EntepriseOne as our primary ERP platform. In this job, you will assist teammates in supporting JD Edwards and using these applications as a data repository for your Power Platform work. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design scalable solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite. • Develop custom applications, workflows, reports, and chatbots using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. • Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. • Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability. • Create comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials. • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for deployed Power Platform solutions, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements as needed. • Provide training to end-users and stakeholders on using Power Platform applications effectively. Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster continuous improvement. Qualifications : Technical Skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. • Experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure Functions and Azure SQL Database. • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts. • Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and other relevant programming languages. • Understanding of ERP systems, like JD Edwards. • Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs. Experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget. • Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred. Additional Preferred Experience In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the ideal candidate should possess a fundamental understanding of Oracle JD Edwards ERP or similar ERP platforms and their integration capabilities within the development environment. Proficiency in configuring and customizing JD Edwards modules to interface seamlessly with Microsoft Power Platform solutions is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to leverage JD Edwards data and processes to enhance the functionality and effectiveness of Power Platform applications, thereby maximizing business value and efficiency across the organization. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power Platform development are a plus.
