Key Responsibilities: • Translate business requirements into intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards • Design and develop interactive data visualizations that drive business decisions • Optimize and enhance existing dashboards for performance and usability • Build data models and write SQL queries to support reporting needs • Analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and business opportunities • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reporting aligns with business goals • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all visualizations • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI updates and best practices Required Skills & Experience: • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI • Strong expertise in DAX, data modeling, and Power BI report development • Proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques • Experience designing visually effective dashboards and reports • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail • Ability to integrate multiple data sources into Power BI • Excellent communication skills, including presenting insights to non-technical users Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of data visualization and UX best practices • Familiarity with advanced Power BI features (bookmarks, tooltips, custom visuals) • Experience with Azure Data Services or other cloud data platforms • Basic understanding of statistics or machine learning concepts • Documentation skills for data models and dashboards Preferred Experience: • Background working in government or large enterprise environments • Experience collaborating with IT and business teams Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus Job Type: Contract Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
