Overview LMI is seeking an experienced and skilled Power BI application developer to assist business users across the organization in development of skills and solutions support a federal program management office (PMO) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. This position will provide full-time support to the client’s program management office, located in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities Responsibilities: • Collaborate with a Operations Team to identify process for automation and recommend automated solutions • Design and develop automated process using Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, and tools readily available to the CBP through current licenses. • Draw upon a full range Microsoft Power BI features to design, develop, enhance, and support visualizations including, but not limited to, highly interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports; schedule/automate data refresh using Power BI Service. • Document the change to processes and identify the benefits gained through automation using metrics and anecdotal examples. • Compile, collate, integrate, and transform sets of data into simplified, meaningful visualizations. • Use data analytics to develop, populate, and analyze dashboards for transparent, real-time project, program, and portfolio measurement results and metrics. • Route analyses, dashboards and performance measures to executives and managers to inform strategies and decisions. • Support the transformation of business process through automation. • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable achievement of reporting goals. • Maximize impact and utility of visualization products and enable automation where possible. • Provide knowledge transfer to contractor and government team members; provide one-one-one or small group training, develop “lunch and learn” content or other knowledge transfer artifacts. Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in computer science, engineering, data science, operations research, industrial engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline preferred. • KNowledge of eGIS. • High level of proficiency using/creating Microsoft Power BI dashboards, workbooks, and databases; using data to drive business decisions; and building effective and engaging visualizations. • Experience with building, implementing, and supporting complex Microsoft Power BI visualizations. • Self-starter with the vision to independently identify opportunities for improvement through data analytics. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, ServiceNow, and SharePoint. • Five (5) years’ experience in Microsoft (MS) Power BI development. • Five (5) years’ experience in Microsoft (MS) Power Automate development. • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment. Desired Qualifications: • Master’s Degree. • Agile experience and certifications. • Experience in other Power Platform components. • Microsoft Power Platform (MPP) Power Application development experience. • Experience in mentoring other developers on Power Automate and PowerApps. • Two (2) years’ experience in JAVA or .NET or C# development. • Self-starter with the vision to independently identify opportunities for improvement through data analytics. • Experience with developing queries for routine data requests and reports. • Experience with Power Query to connect to various data sources when creating dashboards. • Experience with ServiceNow configurations and workflows. • All positions require eligibility to acquire CBP BI, for which you must be a U.S Citizen. Highly Preferred: Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI • This position is contingent upon completion of CBP BI and customer approval
