Client: Wealth Management Position: Azure Cloud Engineer (FinOps) Compensation: $120K - $140K Locations: - First 90 days on site with 75 days a year afterwards to WFH • Plano, TX • Camas, WA • Tampa, FL Education: Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field Experience: • 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining resources and managing infrastructure through both manual and automated pipelines in an IT infrastructure & operational environment. • 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud deployments using IaC and building, deploying and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services. • 2+ years of experience deploying resources and automaton builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspects using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and GitHub / GitHub Actions (YAML/YML) • 2+ years of experience with Azure Cost Management tools. • 2+ years of experience Azure CLI and experience troubleshooting Azure Cloud environment Responsibilities: • Improve cost usage across the cloud environment. • Establish cost-effective strategies for cloud resources and enforce policies, procedures and best practices for cloud cost management. • Produce the required cost reports and come up with cost-saving options. • Work with partners and teams to ensure compliance with governance policies. • Educate and give training to cloud users on cloud cost management and optimization practices. • Conduct deep-dive analysis on cloud spend data to support decision-making. • Create and maintain required generic cost management dash boards for business. • Deploy enterprise scaled resources that can be used across technology organizations • Deploy scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using automation tooling for routine operation tasks • Manage implementation and the ongoing operation of cloud services following approved designs, adherence to patterns, security requirements and certify all logging and monitoring are active for security and compliance • Use automation, configuration management and deployment tools to manage production environment ensuring standardization and adherence to established controls and patterns • Work with solution architects and partners to confirm developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls and meet cloud computing best practices • Enhance existing deployment processes and Infrastructure as Code scripts to improve automation, efficiency, consistency and adherence to security and audit requirements and control • Maintain comprehensive and systematic configuration, lifecycle and security management of servers • Ensure cloud services and toolsets are deployed applying best practices and documentation • Be the main contact for business application owners, building a bridge between them and the cloud team • Work with other Cloud engineers and Architects, application and business owners to deploy and improve the cloud environment • Implement or suggest strategies in IaC, CI/CD for applying faster and secure deployments Benefits: • 100% paid medical, dental and vision premiums for you and your qualifying dependents • A 50% 401(k) match, up to the IRS maximum • 20 days of PTO, plus 10 paid holidays • Family Support programs including 8 week Paid Primary Caregiver Leave, $10,000 fertility, family forming, and hormonal health assistance, and back-up child, adult, and elder care
