Job DescriptionJob Description Virtusa is currently seeking a Senior Azure Architect to be responsible for analysis of client application requirements, identify technical approaches, formulate system designs, recommend and lead the implementation of architectures that satisfy the client’s requirements. Architectures must ensure data integrity, performance, scalability and high-availability. The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual capable of making significant contributions to the design, development and implementation of sophisticated cloud-based systems. This role has a visibility at our Client’s Management level, so he should be clear, comfortable and effective in communicating with client, all team members and all levels of the organization Major Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, lead and deliver medium to large-scale Azure cloud application development and transformation engagements, helping enterprise customers understand cloud considerations, develop cloud application strategies and helping refactor existing applications for Azure, as well as develop new Azure-based cloud- applications on Azure PaaS, and SaaS Work hands on with Implementation of Cloud Migrations, and API Management Develop and implement application modernization, refactoring, and migration approaches to transition applications workloads from On-Premises to Azure Interacting with Customer and delivery teams focused on solving mission-critical business and technology problems and provide solutions which center on the consumption of the Azure Platform Executing technical feasibility assessments, solution estimations and proposal development for moving identified workloads to the Azure Platform Develop and implement new cloud- applications and solutions on Azure Conduct application assessments and analysis for large cloud migrations targeted at moving high numbers of applications to Azure, identifying application requirements for Azure as well as potential refactoring that may be required for Azure functionality Translate business and feature requirements into technical architecture and specifications. Required Skills 14+ years’ experience in Microsoft.NET Technologies and should at least have 5 years architecture and design experience in .NET technologies (.NET Core, C#). Proficient in Azure Cloud Application Development, modernization, implementation, deployment and support of highly distributed applications leveraging .NET, C# and client technologies like JQuery, Angular/React. Azure API development and integration experience and familiarity with RESTful Micro services methodologies for integrating these into Azure cloud-based development Knowledge and experience with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Experience in customer-facing roles leading technical architecture and application design discussions with clients to drive cloud deployment Oversight experience on transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences at all levels of the organization Expertise in modernizing traditional N-Tier applications to Azure and modernizing application code in Azure Familiarity with cloud application architecture patterns including containers, functional computing, batch processing Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends Demonstrated strong project delivery experience with regards to estimates, planning and deliverables Demonstrated ability to understand a customer's needs and articulate technologies to business stakeholders. Includes developing current and future state assessments/designs that address business requirements and best practices Flexibility to work within a rapidly evolving environment Desired Skills Understanding implementation of compliance and regulatory requirements into cloud architecture, Azure a plus; Experience with CDN and large scale distributed platforms deployed in cloud, Azure a plus Project experience in migrating On-Premise workloads to the cloud and/or implementing cloud-ready applications Amazon AWS Platform or Google Cloud experience a plus Knowledge of Azure DevOps(VSTS) Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) implementing optimized development processes is a plus
