About the Role Join our Product and Engineering group to build and maintain rich web applications. You will create reusable components, integrate with REST services, and keep the codebase clear, testable, and secure. You will work closely with application development teams, architects, and product managers to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure our cloud platform empowers rapid innovation while adhering to the highest standards of security and compliance in the financial services industry. Key Responsibilities • Build single page applications in Angular or React using TypeScript and modern JavaScript • Maintain and extend legacy pages that rely on jQuery while planning migration paths • Design clean component structures, manage state, and use responsive layouts with HTML and CSS • Consume and test REST and GraphQL endpoints, handle auth flows, and manage error states • Write unit and integration tests with Jest or similar tools, and set up automated checks in CI and CD pipelines • Tune bundle size, rendering paths, and accessibility to keep pages quick and inclusive • Monitor production issues through logs and APM tools and help with on call rotations • Produce clear diagrams, pull-request notes, and guides for other engineers Required Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable experience • Three or more years of full time JavaScript development • Strong knowledge of either Angular or React plus good understanding of jQuery internals • Solid TypeScript, ES2020 features, and modern module patterns • Hands-on REST integration, token-based auth, and common design patterns • Comfortable with Git, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, and basic Docker use • Familiar with testing libraries, accessibility standards, and performance profiling • Clear written and verbal communication with cross functional teams Nice to Have • Experience in finance or other regulated fields • Familiarity with Redux, NgRx, or other state libraries • Exposure to GraphQL, WebSockets, or Web Components • Knowledge of AWS or Azure hosting and basic networking concepts • Azure or AWS developer certification Job Type: Contract Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour Compensation Package: • 1099 contract Schedule: • Monday to Friday Work Location: Hybrid remote in Charlotte, NC 28262
