Position is hybrid requirement is to work at least 1 day a week onsite. The ideal candidate will need 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles and have hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management (APIM), YAML scripting, Datadog instrumentation, and containerization technologies including Docker and Podman. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to lead automation, observability, and cloud-native deployment initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management (APIM), YAML scripting, Datadog instrumentation, and containerization technologies including Docker and Podman. You will play a key role in building scalable CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized workloads, integrating Java build processes, and implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems. Key Responsibilities: • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, leveraging YAML scripting for workflow automation. • Integrate Maven-based Java build processes into CI/CD workflows, ensuring artifact versioning, quality checks, and deployment automation. • Administer and optimize GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) environments, including repository governance, access controls, and integrations. • Deploy and manage containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests. • Build, manage, and troubleshoot container images using Docker and Podman for consistent and secure deployments. • Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM) for secure, scalable API delivery and lifecycle management. • Implement Datadog instrumentation across services for real-time monitoring, distributed tracing, and log aggregation. • Create custom Datadog dashboards, alerts, and monitors to ensure system health and performance. • Integrate Datadog with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes clusters for full-stack observability. • Collaborate with development and security teams to enforce DevSecOps best practices and compliance standards. • Automate operational tasks and improve system reliability through scripting and tooling. Required Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles. • Strong proficiency in YAML scripting for GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and cloud configurations. • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC). • Deep understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration. • Experience with Docker and/or Podman for container image creation, management, and deployment. • Experience integrating Maven-based Java build processes into CI/CD pipelines. • Experience with Azure API Management (APIM) for API lifecycle management. • Proven experience with Datadog for monitoring, logging, and observability. • Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep, and YAML-based templates. • Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Desired Skills: • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104). • Experience with Helm, Kustomize, or other Kubernetes deployment tools. • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies. Interviews: 1st) One hour technical interview with camera on and screen sharing. 2nd) 30-minute in-person interview in Alpharetta or Oakland.
