Launch your consulting journey with West Monroe West Monroe is seeking Consulting Interns to join our Data & Analytics team aligned to our Technology & Experience (TechEx) Practice. As businesses accumulate vast amounts of data, the challenge lies in extracting actionable insights that drive growth and operational efficiency. Our Data and Analytics Interns play a crucial role in helping clients unlock the full potential of their data through advanced analytics, data science, and data engineering. As a Data & Analytics Consulting Intern, you will combine business acumen with technical problem-solving skills to deliver impactful solutions. The role requires an understanding of business processes, data analysis capabilities and proficiency in data structures, querying, and programming languages like SQL, Python, or R. Primary Responsibilities • Functional Responsibilities:  • Collaborate with client executives and team members to understand organizational needs and recommend appropriate data driven solutions  • Work closely with West Monroe project team members to deliver valuable outcomes • Initiate and complete project tasks under management guidance  • Evaluate and document client business processes and requirements • Develop and test investment hypotheses using data science methodologies to drive actionable insights • Assist in the creation of detailed business cases and strategic recommendations  • Technical Responsibilities:  • Utilize database development and scripting skills (SQL, Python, R) for data manipulation and analysis  • Perform end-to-end data science workflow, from data ingestion and wrangling to analysis and visualization • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualization tools using platforms like Tableau and Power BI • Develop and implement data management, integration, and data science tools, including ETL processes and machine learning models • Conduct fit-gap analysis between application functionality and client requirements • Internal Responsibilities:  • Actively participate in West Monroe’s culture and social events  • Expand your knowledge of data science, analytics, and engineering methodologies by participating in competency teams and attending learning sessions  What You’ll Bring To The Team • Sharp analytical thinking and an interest in solving complex problems • Ability to stay organized and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment • Demonstrated leadership potential through academics, extracurriculars, or prior work experience • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to team success Curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and innovation  Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in progress, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and July 2027 • Intern candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0    • Must reside within 50 miles of your assigned office before your start date and throughout the internship; our culture emphasizes team collaboration within a hybrid work model  • Ability and willingness to travel Monday – Thursday (up to 50%); travel expenses covered by West Monroe Preferred Qualifications • Majors with a focus in:   • Business Analytics • Computer Science • Data Engineering • Data Science • Economics • Informatics • Information Systems • Statistics Preferred Skills • Proficiency in querying databases • Experience with data wrangling, coding (Python, R), and data platforms (Azure Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake) • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools • Strong problem solving and analytical skills Join our team and make a lasting impact!
