Job description

Job Overview The Junior Network Administrator is responsible for the deployment, migrations, troubleshooting, maintenance & backups, and is well versed in networking, hardware, software, cloud technologies, virtualization, and various other software. Responsibilities Deploy, and maintain functional networks (LAN, VLAN, WAN, ELAN, VPN, IPSEC, SD-WAN), hardware, and software across the organization Configure and monitor backup solutions of network and computer devices Implement security best practices at organization Monitor systems, safeguard user up-time, and perform daily tasks by utilizing remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Contribute to and execute the security and compliance policies of the organization Produce, maintain, and update technical documentation, and network diagrams Technical Qualifications Knowledge and experience in scoping, planning, implementing, and supporting various hardware, software, and networking solutions Knowledge of firewalls (SonicWall, Sophos, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.) and similar security appliances Background or understanding of network administration and architecture Understanding of OSI layer model along with communication protocols TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP Familiarity with access control models and network security Daily experience using a ticketing system and remote management platform Knowledge of supporting and implementing phone systems Preferred Technical Qualifications Ability to configure and install Firewalls, Switches, APS, Routers, and Modems Knowledge of coding languages for scripting Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools Hyper-V, VMware, Dell/HP Server Setup, RAID, and other storage arrays Windows Domain Setup - Domain Controllers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, User Setup Familiarity with Practice Management Systems File Servers, Print Servers, Application Servers, SQL, Exchange Servers, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Azure Active Directory and On-Prem Active Directory Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Contract Job Function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Pension plan #J-18808-Ljbffr Provisions Group
