Internship Project Description: IT Data Services Team is moving the on-premises data warehouse and enterprise reporting software to the Microsoft Azure platform and Power BI. The Intern will help users with Power BI report upgrading and training. Additionally, this position will be responsible for modelling and upgrading the application reports of the Real Estate information Management System (RIMS) application to Power BI reports. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to perform this intern project: • Must have experience writing basic and complex SQL statements (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server). • Must have experience working with Excel data functions such as Vlookup or Pivot Tables • Course work related to databases (relational, NoSQL, or cloud-based) • Course work in a programming language such as PowerShell, python, R, or DAX • Course work in computer design or user interface design • Power BI Desktop or Power BI Service experience (6 months - 1 year) • Power Query or ETL tool experience (6 months - 1 Year) Hiring Criteria: The position may be a paid position and/or for school credit. However, the candidate must currently be a student attending college/university or must have graduated in the last six (6) months. Education Requirements: • Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate level student majoring in computer science, math, or a related field.
