Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Power BI Center of Excellence (CoE)/Community of Practice (CoP) Lead to drive the strategy, governance, and adoption of Power BI across the organization. This role will serve as a strategic partner to the analytics, IT, and business teams and function as an extension of the buyer's team, interacting directly with internal stakeholders and external customers. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership in data governance, and a passion for enabling self-service BI with consistent, governed standards. Key Responsibilities: Governance & Standards: • Establish and maintain governed and well-defined standards, policies, and best practices for Power BI development, usage, and deployment. • Define and enforce data governance frameworks, including data quality controls, certified datasets, and role-based access. • Maintain Power BI governance documentation and training materials for internal and customer-facing users. Audit, Compliance & Disaster Recovery: • Develop and maintain audit reporting to track usage, report lineage, access logs, and security compliance. • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and assess disaster recovery plans for Power BI environments and datasets. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal data privacy/security policies. Analytics & Reporting Strategy: • Lead the creation of analytics roadmaps, with a focus on actionable insights, automation, and self-service capabilities. • Define and maintain a well-structured reporting lifecycle - from intake and requirements gathering to development, testing, and deployment. • Partner with business units and clients to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and design impactful dashboards. CoP Leadership & Enablement: • Build and foster a Community of Practice (CoP) for Power BI users, promoting knowledge sharing, upskilling, and standardization. • Conduct training, office hours, and workshops for business analysts and report developers. • Create a library of reusable templates, themes, and custom visuals to accelerate delivery and improve consistency. Stakeholder Engagement: • Function as a trusted advisor and liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and external clients - especially in the financial services sectors. • Collaborate with procurement and account management teams as an extension of the buyer's team to translate business needs into BI solutions. Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI), data analytics, or data warehousing roles, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on Microsoft Power BI. • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying complex Power BI reports and dashboards at an enterprise level. • Demonstrable expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL. • Experience in establishing and enforcing best practices, standards, and policies for BI development and usage
