Establish project teams and provide overall direction for technical projects from initiation through to delivery. Perform project requirements, estimation, and budget management. Formulate project scope and delivery strategies and establish milestones/schedules. Maintain and report project status and monitor progress of all team members. Gather required data from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage the organization’s data architecture. Collaborate with technology and management teams to understand structural requirements and define standards for how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across the organization and translate into a usable blueprint. Build an inventory of data needed to implement architecture and create a vision for how data will flow through the organization. Design and build complex data models, approve modifications, and implement systems. Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, constantly monitoring and refining the performance of data management systems. Produce and enforce database development standards. Possess strong understanding of data modeling tools and standards, ETL tools, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Pig, NoSQL). Essential Functions As a Data Architect, your responsibilities will include: • Design, develop, and orchestrate reliable, scalable, and secure data pipelines from initial data extraction to final delivery. This includes data pipeline development and orchestration as well as data modeling. • Developing and Maintaining ETL processes ( SSIS ): The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes. This includes extracting data from various sources, transforming it according to business logic, and loading it into data warehouses or other storage solutions. • Writing Ad-Hoc Queries and Stored Procedures (T- SQL ): The role requires proficiency in writing T- SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data and stored procedures. This includes writing complex queries for ad-hoc data requests, optimizing query and stored procedure performance, and ensuring data integrity. • Work with our operations team to help establish and enforce data security measures to ensure data meets compliance and regulatory standards and protects sensitive information. • Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: The Data Architect will monitor and optimize the performance of ETL processes, resolving any problems that arise during data processing pipelines • Collecting Requirements and Documenting Processes: A key part of the role is liaising with business stakeholders to gather and understand their data storage requirements. This includes documenting business processes, data needs, and data pipeline specifications and communicating these requirements to other relevant team members for implementation. Expected Pay Range: $74,535 to $101,879 Data Architect, III Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. This is a Career-Level position in the General Professional track. Expected Pay Range: $81,983 to $112,068 Minimum Qualifications EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
