This position is responsible for the ownership, design, and operation of the enterprise monitoring service, ensuring comprehensive visibility across servers, applications, databases, messaging platforms, storage, and web infrastructure. Support critical on-premises and cloud environments, delivering performance, reliability, and security. Job Description: • Serve as the primary administrator and SME for monitoring, including setup, customization, alert tuning, performance optimization, and integration with other tools. • Support web and database servers, including routine maintenance, configuration, and performance tuning. • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers in hybrid environments. • Administer FTP/SFTP services, ensuring secure and compliant data transfer capabilities. • Manage file shares, including permissions, quotas, and lifecycle processes. • Oversee patching and vulnerability management, leveraging Azure Update Manager (AUM), Tenable, and other tools to ensure compliance. • Collaborate with InfoSec on internal and external audits, providing technical support and evidence as needed. • Assist with the administration and support of Azure and AWS cloud services. • Complete all necessary documentation, including change controls, communications, request tickets, audit documentation, and others as needed. • Develop and maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures. • Communicate status to impacted stakeholders - including end users, GTS support staff, and ITS management – before, during, and after installation or problem resolution as appropriate and in accordance with SOPs. • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in response to alerts from monitoring tools or trouble reports from other ITS staff. • Manage time utilization to ensure that tasks are completed on or ahead of schedule, or that issues are escalated to project or ITS management. • Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: • Expert in SolarWinds Orion Platform (NPM, SAM, NCM). • Strong Windows Server & Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration. • Skilled in file systems, FTP/SFTP, and hosting via IIS, Apache/Nginx, SQL Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL. • Familiar with AUM, Intune, WSUS; experience with Azure and AWS. • Solid scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python a plus). • Experienced with audit support (SOC 2, HIPAA), and securing proper clearances. • Knowledge of VMware, vSphere, UNIX, DNS/DHCP, network printers, SAN/NAS, Cohesity, Tenable, Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, Exchange, SMTP, SSL, ColdFusion MX, .NET, F5 Load Balancing. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and project coordination skills. • Able to manage multiple priorities independently and in team settings.
