SMX is seeking a Senior Azure Solution Architect to lead innovative Cloud engineering initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a premier Cloud Service Provider focused on modernizing National Security (NS) customers with Microsoft Azure platforms and M365. Key Responsibilities: • Scope out complex projects based on mission requirements and achievable benefits. • Create project plans and Statements of Work. • Lead project teams to ensure timely delivery of results. • Design, evaluate, and implement enterprise IT-based cloud solutions, working closely with customers to deploy MS Azure Services effectively. • Make technology decisions and provide guidance to Senior IT and Business Management leadership regarding alternatives and strategic direction. Required Skills & Experience: • Clearance: Active TS/SCI FSP (Maryland adjudicated). • 8-15 years of technical experience leading solution architecture projects including: • Identity Security Skills: MFA, Hybrid Identity, Azure Groups, Entra ID. • Smart Card Security Skills: Sentinel, Azure Monitoring, Threat Detection & Investigation, KQL for reporting. • Infrastructure Skills: Deploying and sustaining core infrastructure, including the Cloud Adoption Framework. • Cloud Adoption Framework: Proficiency with Azure services such as Management Groups, Key Vault, Storage, Networking, Subscriptions, and Policy. • 0365 Skills: Identity planning, design, implementation, and security management using Sentinel and Defender. • Experience with 0365 Implementation, configuration, governance, and automation (PowerShell). • Data migrations and workload/application migrations. Desired Skills & Experience: • Enhanced security features. The position is based at Fort Meade, MD. The salary for this role ranges from $115,700 to $192,900 USD based on experience and qualifications.
