Overview CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – System Administration opening for our client in San Diego, CA. Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 6 months Duties: • Perform daily system administration tasks for Windows-based environments. • Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, including GPO configuration and troubleshooting. • Execute OS patching cycles and ensure system compliance with security standards. • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and administrative tasks. • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments. • Conduct basic system administration for Linux systems (Red Hat or Amazon Linux). • Coordinate and perform maintenance during off-hours or scheduled downtime windows. • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. Skills: • Windows systems administration, patching, and automation. • Microsoft Active Directory and GPO management. • PowerShell scripting proficiency. • Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2016/2019/2022). • Basic knowledge of Linux system administration (Red Hat or Amazon Linux). • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and handle late-hour maintenance. Experience: • Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration roles with a focus on Microsoft technologies. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
