The Systems Administrator at Sunrise Children's Services will manage and maintain IT systems, ensuring efficient operation of network infrastructure and security solutions. This full-time role requires strong technical skills and experience in system administration.
Job Summary Manage and maintain IT systems, ensure the smooth and efficient operation of network infrastructure, servers, workstations, and security solutions. Responsibilities • Manage and maintain VIVIware vCenter virtual environments. • Administer Active Directory (AD), including Group Policies and user accounts management. • Oversee DNS, SSL certificates, and Windows Servicer management. • Support and manage Ubuntu Server environments. • Provides administration of the Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint and Exchange Online. • Monitor and manage network operations using Meraki Network equipment, including SD WANs solutions. • Use email filters EDR tools, and firewall to ensure proper security. • Conduct regular system maintenance, updates, and security audits. • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across serves, workstations, and network devices. • Monitor systems performance and ensure high availability and reliability. • Collaborate with internal departments to understand technology needs and provide user support. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Interpersonal Skills: Competency in nonverbal, oral and written communications; ability to identify, define and explain day to day problems and solutions. • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, computer science, or related field preferred. • Experience: More than two years of job-related work experience. Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role. • Skills: Strong understanding of networking fundamental, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.Proficient. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Hand-on experience with the following technologies: VIVware vCenter, Active Directory, Group Policy, MNS, SSL, Windows Server, Ubuntu Server, Microsoft 365 platform including Sharepoint, Meraki Network solutions, SDWAN, Mail filtering and EDR solutions and Powershell. • Creativity: Ability to manage multiple task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to work independently with little direction and also be part of a team. • Responsibility: Moderate impact on quality and efficiency of services or operation of agency or revenues/expenses. Permitted to make decisions on moderately complex problems/issues. Many people at this level are on call 24 hours, 7 days a week. • Other: Must be able to travel; ability to drive unassisted state-wide to other agency locations is required as necessary.
