Position Summary We are seeking a business-savvy Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Data Analyst with a strong finance background to join our data team. The ideal candidate will transform complex financial data into actionable insights and drive our migration to a modern Fabric-based data warehouse. Minimum Screening Questions - All Must Be "Yes": • Are you based in Louisville, Kentucky? • Are you fluent in Power BI, capable of building executive-ready dashboards independently? • Do you have a strong working knowledge of T-SQL, able to write and maintain complex queries? • Do you speak the language of finance and business (AR, budgeting, month-end)? • Do you have 3-5+ years of corporate experience in this exact role? Key Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field. • Experience: 3-5+ years in financial data analytics in a corporate setting. • T-SQL: Strong experience with stored procedures, PIVOTs, cursors, and performance tuning. • Power BI: End-to-end development (datasets, visuals, DAX), workspace governance, time intelligence, executive dashboards. • Microsoft Fabric (preferred): Experience with Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture, Direct Lake, Data Factory, and pipeline automation. • ETL/ELT: Building and maintaining incremental, auditable pipelines. • Finance Acumen: Deep understanding of AR, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting cycles. • Data Science Skills: Apply statistics (variance analysis, forecasting) within DAX and BI reports. • Communication: Able to translate data into clear business actions and present findings to stakeholders. Responsibilities • Build and maintain financial dashboards (e.g., AR aging, revenue trends) in Power BI. • Design star-schema models in Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse. • Write and manage T-SQL code powering financial reporting systems. • Develop ETL pipelines using Fabric Data Factory or Dataflows. • Apply practical data science and statistical analysis within business reporting. • Ensure data governance and compliance (SOX, PCI, naming standards, documentation). • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to identify KPIs and translate business needs into technical solutions.
