Data Scientist (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team focused on data analysis and insights for a leading technology company. This role offers the opportunity to work with the Edge Browser team, where you will analyze user behavior metrics, build predictive models, and collaborate with various teams to drive business growth. You will play a crucial part in understanding customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-driven decision-making. Job Responsibilities: • Contribute to weekly business metric reporting by analyzing metric movements and building/maintaining dashboards. • Process and analyze big data datasets using statistical and machine learning modeling techniques to identify opportunities and provide recommendations. • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Developers, Product Managers, and Partner teams such as Finance and Marketing to drive Edge business growth. • Conduct exploratory analyses of data to uncover patterns and pain points in the end user’s journey. • Communicate findings effectively to leadership teams to enhance customer satisfaction, acquisition, engagement, and retention. Requirements: • 2-4 years of experience in Business Insights, Data Analytics, or Data Science. • Demonstrated history of success in data manipulation and analysis. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, Economics, or a related field. • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (SQL, Python, R) for data analysis. • Experience with big data platforms (Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Cosmos or equivalent). • Familiarity with reporting tools such as PowerBI and Excel. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
