We are currently seeking a Server/Storage/Systems/Network Administrator. Candidates must be a United States Citizen. Interviews may be conducted either via Microsoft Teams video or in person, in Frankfort, KY. The selected candidate is expected to work primarily in an office setting. There will be opportunities to work from home on certain occasions, such as adverse weather or when you may need to be at home. The hybrid work schedule is at the supervisor's discretion and approval. This position is a physical job that requires handling components (desktops, notebooks, servers). Job Description: We are seeking an individual to work as a Server/Storage/Systems/Network Administrator for our client's Information Technology Branch's Criminal Justice Systems Support Section. Hours: • 8:00am-5:00pm EDT, the position requires physical work on equipment in our client's main Data Center and remote server rooms around the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Travel away from Frankfort will be necessary, and a client IT Pool vehicle will be provided for use. Overnight travel accommodations will be provided by our client. Key Responsibilities: • Main responsibility is to administer Windows servers and some Linux servers. Most of the environment is VMware with some cloud infrastructure. • Troubleshoot problems with servers, storage, systems, cloud, data center infrastructure, and networking. • Use remote tools to help fix hardware and software issues. • Work with vendors for support on servers, storage, systems, clouds, data infrastructure, and networking. • Coordinate with our client's Server, Storage, and Cloud teams. • Assists with and maintains the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Kentucky network. • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned or needed by the agency. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Windows Server management, VMware management, Storage Management, Backup Management, Network Management. • Troubleshooting skills • Ability to work in a team atmosphere. • Ability to create technical documentation. • Provide Tier 3 support to other personnel in the IT Branch. • Ability to receive training and retain new knowledge. • Ability to be professional and courteous.
