Cyber Security Analyst & Operations Center Specialist The Opportunity: As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your knowledge in cyber threat analysis, incident response, and malware analysis. In this role, you’ll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You will leverage cyber operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to the client mission. This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership and commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for our client. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control. You Have: • Experience monitoring endpoints, network devices, and servers • Experience tuning and monitoring alerting tools, such as EDR, IDS, SIEM, mailbox, or helpline, to reduce false positives and alert fatigue • Ability to identify security anomalies for investigation and remediation • Ability to conduct incident response, intrusion analysis, and incident handling • Ability to analyze emails and determine the legitimacy of files and domains using online resources, such as VirusTotal, AnyRun, MX Toolbox, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools • Ability to conduct network monitoring with FirePower and Cloud Systems with Azure, O365, and AWS • Public Trust • Bachelor's degree • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ Certification within 30 days of start date Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; Public Trust determination is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
