As a Business Data Analyst focusing on Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, and other state government programs, you will play a vital role in analyzing business requests and providing essential insights that drive improvements. Your work will directly impact our clients and their communities through data-driven recommendations and processes. Duties and Responsibilities: • Act as a bridge between clients and development teams to facilitate effective communication. • Collaborate with both internal and external clients to gather analytical requirements. • Create queries and utilize data mining techniques to extract relevant data. • Generate comprehensive reports and analyses that fulfill client requests. • Document protocols and procedures for report generation. • Conduct business analysis to uncover opportunities for enhancing performance. • Interpret analytical results for business users effectively. • Provide actionable recommendations to management and clients. • Assist in the development life cycle, including requirement gathering and user story documentation. • Support the testing phase of developed systems. Required Skills: • Proficient in Excel, including PivotTables and advanced functions like VLOOKUP and SUMIFS. • Experience with Power BI or QuickSight. • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite. • Knowledge of SQL. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field (2+ years required). • 2 - 4 years of experience in data analysis. • Familiarity with state health and human services programs. • Understand Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, and other state government programs.
