Information Technology (IT) System Administrator job at Insulation Distributors. Chanhassen, MN. As an IT Systems Administrator , you will use your exceptional technical and customer service skills to optimize IDI's IT infrastructure and processes. Job Summary: Compensation: $75,900 - $106,300 The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. Additionally, they will provide third level customer support for the most complex user issues and provide a positive user experience. Responsibilities/Duties: • Install, analyze, and troubleshoot issues with operating systems and application software, patches, and upgrades. • Manage and maintain device management systems and help desk ticketing systems. • Monitor internal network, LAN and WAN to troubleshoot and resolve issues as proactively as possible. • Perform and monitor cloud based system backups and recovery of hybrid environment. • Apply and oversee OS patches on a regular basis, including updates during non-business hours that may impact production systems. • Assist in maintaining user accounts with special attention to security on all data and voice systems. • Provide a high level of support including technical assistance and training to system users. • Handle Help Desk support calls as needed, in particular those that require a more advanced skillset, with an emphasis on excellent customer support. • Implement and manage local and remote connectivity via LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and cloud based resources. • Recommend, implement and maintain corporate security policies and systems, including firewalls and virus and spam filters. • Support and maintain the company's telecom/VoIP infrastructure. • Available after hours and weekends as needed. • On-call every other weekend to check system status and respond to major system problems within 6 hours. Leadership Competencies: • Leads Self • Communicates Effectively & Candidly • Drives for Results • Demonstrates Accountability • Takes Initiative • Collaborates Qualifications/Skills: • Energetic and customer-focused required • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 or more current Windows products required • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including O/M365 required • Advanced Windows Server (2012 and 2016) proficiency, including Active Directory experience required • Proficient in Office 365 Exchange Online required • Understanding/experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls required WatchGuard specific experience preferred • Advanced proficiency of Network troubleshooting, specifically network switches, wireless access points and broadband internet required • Excellent customer service skills required • Ability to gain a complete understanding of all company business processes required • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills required • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment required • Travel (25%) required • Advanced knowledge of VMWare preferred • Automated and process improvement experience preferred Education and/or Experience: • Post high-school degree or relevant experience required • Experience managing Cloud based solutions required • Relevant Microsoft, Networking or Cybersecurity certifications preferred • 3+ years of experience maintaining Windows and O/M365 Systems preferred • Experience managing Azure products preferred In 1979, Joe Novogratz founded IDI with a mission: build an insulation distribution company that would supply the market with a wide selection of quality insulation and act as a true, professional resource for independent contractors.
