The Position: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Software Integration Lead to oversee and drive software integration initiatives within our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The Location: Patuxent River, MDThe Work Environment: remote The Description: The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Deputy Program Manager, software leads, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust integration strategies that align with the DoD Software Modernization Strategy and the DoD CIO Dev Ops Strategy. This role is pivotal in unifying infrastructure, tools, processes, and workforce skills across PMA-281 product lines, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with DoD standards. Other duties/responsibilities include: Integration Strategy Development Design and Implement Integration Frameworks: Develop scalable and maintainable software integration frameworks using industry-standard tools (e.g., Mule Soft, Apache Camel, IBM Integration Bus).Ensure integration frameworks are compatible with CI/CD pipelines and support various integration types (API, service-oriented architecture, etc.).Align with DoD Strategies: Ensure integration strategies comply with the DoD Software Modernization Strategy and DoD CIO Dev Ops Strategy, including relevant guidebooks and Dev Ops reference implementations. CI/CD Pipeline Management Pipeline Configuration and Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops, or similar tools. Optimize pipeline performance to support automated builds, tests, deployments, and integrations, ensuring efficient workflow and reduced build times. Continuous Integration and Deployment: Establish continuous integration and deployment practices to facilitate early detection of integration issues and ensure high-quality code releases. Software Integration Leadership Lead and Mentor Integration Engineers: Guide a team of integration engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Provide training and support to team members on best practices in software integration and CI/CD pipeline management. Project Management: Manage integration projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. Allocate resources effectively to optimize integration efforts across multiple product lines. Technical Consulting and Collaboration Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with development, Dev Ops, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure seamless integration within the software development lifecycle. Provide technical consulting to product lines on best practices in software integration, CI/CD, and quality assurance. Develop Analytical Frameworks: Create frameworks for assessing integration effectiveness, ROI calculations, and impact analysis on the CI/CD pipeline. Monitoring, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement Implement Monitoring Solutions: Utilize tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack to monitor integration processes and analyze logs for troubleshooting. Reporting and Metrics: Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate integration progress, performance metrics, and quality indicators to stakeholders. Define and monitor key quality metrics to assess and continuously improve integration efforts. Education and Advocacy Promote Dev Ops and Integration Practices: Educate team members and stakeholders on Dev Ops principles, software integration strategies, cybersecurity measures, and Continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO).Advocate for best practices and continuous improvement within the software development and deployment processes. Education & Experience: Active DoD Secret Clearance, required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
