Description The Active Directory Administrator will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Active Directory architecture and administration. This position requires advanced experience in various aspects of Active Directory, including schema management, replication, DNS, permissions flow, trust management, group policy management, backup/recovery, and security. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of Azure Active Directory and will be actively involved in leading architectural discussions and implementations of directory services. Skills • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory architecture and administration • 3-5 years of general Windows Server administration experience • 2 years of administering Azure Active Directory • Proficiency in PowerShell or equivalent scripting languages (Python/C#) • Experience with LDAP administration (ODSEE/OpenLDAP/OpenDJ) • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory Connect and Microsoft 365 administration • Previous experience with Privileged Access Management • Background in Identity & Access Management • Familiarity with Okta • Basic SQL knowledge with the ability to write simple queries • Understanding of the Linux Operating System • Working knowledge of firewalls and network troubleshooting • Experience with certificate management (3rd party and Microsoft CA) • Mentoring experience with junior resources Responsibilities • Lead architectural discussions and implement directory services • Provide tier two ticket support for all IAM services • Offer tier one and tier two support for Directory services • Create documentation (knowledge base articles) for IAM services • Produce instructional videos for IAM services • Train and mentor student Support Analysts • Manage recurring projects, such as the Directory Reviewer Refresh, keeping them on track and updated Qualifications • 3-5 years of advanced experience in Active Directory architecture and administration • Proven experience in Windows Server administration • Strong background in Azure Active Directory management • Experience in scripting with PowerShell or similar languages Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred Education Requirements Credential Category • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field Experience Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Active Directory administration • Experience with Azure Active Directory and related IAM services • Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members Why work in Chicago, IL Chicago offers a vibrant city life with a rich cultural scene, diverse dining options, and numerous professional networking opportunities.
