Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Leader to join a cutting-edge digital payment solutions organization. The DevOps Leader will be responsible for building and supporting large-scale cloud-based automation systems, mentoring on cloud architecture, and implementing orchestration solutions. This position will be hybrid in McLean, VA! Responsibilities of the DevOps Leader include: • Run, support, and build large-scale cloud-based automation and management systems • Provide cloud architecture mentorship and implement cloud orchestration solutions to support product capabilities • Continuously improve DevOps processes and pipelines • Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, operations, information security, and customer support teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Qualifications for the DevOps Leader include: • Proven experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Bash, or Go • Expert-level experience with Azure and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service); certification preferred • Deep experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Istio, Helm Charts • Expert-level understanding of GitLab and GitLab-based deployments • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers • Advanced system administration experience with Linux-based OS • Expert-level knowledge of ISTIO and SFTP custom setups • Payments industry experience preferred • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience Desirable Qualifications: • Subject Matter Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins • Experience with SOC2 & PCI Compliance Requirements • Familiarity with KeyCloak, PostgreSQL, and Golang Compensation for the DevOps Leader includes: • Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 (depending on seniority) • Full Benefits: Paid Holidays, Cigna Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k This job opens for applications on 8/7/2025.
