Position: Azure Solution Architect (Client Services) Job Description: A leading technology consultancy is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Azure Solution Architect to lead a critical, enterprise-level digital transformation project for a major client, based in the Dallas, Texas area. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise and strong client collaboration. What You Will Get to Do: The Core Mission As the lead architect, you will be responsible for translating complex business strategy into robust, scalable, and innovative cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Architect & Design Authority: Lead the technical design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will be accountable for ensuring designs meet stringent standards for security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization, translating ambiguous business requirements into clear, comprehensive architectural blueprints. • DevOps and Automation Leadership: Champion, implement, and govern modern DevOps best practices. This includes building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform/Bicep), and establishing comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategies to ensure operational health. • AI Integration & Innovation: Design and integrate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning services (e.g., Azure AI, Azure OpenAI) into new and existing applications to unlock transformational business value and drive client innovation. • Technical Strategy & Roadmap: Collaborate closely with client product managers, engineers, and business leaders to define technical blueprints and strategic roadmaps that align technology efforts with the client's long-term business goals. • Problem Solving & Escalation: Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical challenges. You will dissect root causes and architect elegant, effective solutions under high-pressure scenarios. • Mentorship & Influence: Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, documentation, and continuous improvement across the client engagement. • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate architectural designs, strategies, technical trade-offs, and risk assessments to both development teams and non-technical business stakeholders. • Industry & Business Acumen: Collaborate with stakeholders across relevant sectors (e.g., apparel, manufacturing, and consumer goods) to understand their unique business challenges. Architect solutions that enhance core industry capabilities, such as supply chain visibility, inventory management, and digital customer engagement. What You Bring to the Team: Your Expertise • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience. • 10+ years in software development or IT, with at least 4 years in a solution architecture role directly focused on Azure. • Deep, hands-on knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, including IaaS and PaaS services such as Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage. A robust grasp of Azure networking, identity (Azure AD), and security services is essential. • Proven expertise building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or Bicep is required. • Demonstrable experience architecting solutions that incorporate AI/ML services, with a strong preference for experience with the Azure AI stack. • Experience or strong familiarity with the operational challenges and core systems used in the apparel, labels manufacturing, sports, or similar retail/supply chain industries is required. • A natural ability to analyze complex, ambiguous problems and develop innovative, practical solutions that balance technical perfection with business pragmatism. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS). • Familiarity with data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics or Databricks. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
