The Information Security Analyst will support the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) ITGC compliance program by help managing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance efforts to achieve and maintain adherence to SOX ITGC regulations. This role will collaborate with control owners, internal and external auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance readiness, evaluate IT controls, IT risks, and strengthen internal controls. The Information Security Analyst will also assist in broader compliance and risk management initiatives as needed. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process What You’ll Do • Support SOX control design and testing by assisting in the evaluation of ITGCs, application controls, and automated processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and leading practices. • Maintain and validate compliance data in Archer, including evidence submissions, control attributes, and remediation tracking for IT and business process controls. • Provide technical analysis and reporting by working with compliance and IT data to identify control gaps, recurring risks, and areas for automation or process improvement. • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders across the enterprise (US & CA) to design, document, and implement effective controls that address financial reporting and IT risks. • Develop technical documentation and workflows for ITGC SOX-related processes, including IT control configurations, system dependencies, and compliance procedures. Basic Qualifications • 1–3 years of experience in SOX, audit, compliance, information security, IT or risk management. • Understanding of internal controls (business process or ITGCs) and basic IT/cybersecurity fundamentals. • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to manage follow-ups and stakeholder interactions across regions. Preferred qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work with data in Excel; familiarity with GRC tools (e.g., Archer) a plus.
