Position Summary: The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the organization's networking infrastructure while contributing to broader systems administration efforts. This role bridges traditional networking with modern infrastructure practices, ensuring resilient connectivity across on-prem and cloud environments while supporting evolving operational needs. Primary Responsibilities: • Install, configure, test, and maintain all network devices, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls. • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate corrective actions. • Support connectivity across AWS and Azure cloud environments, including virtual networking and integration with on-prem infrastructure. • Monitor logs, usage reports, and performance metrics to maintain high availability and visibility of the network. • Define and implement network disaster recovery strategies, change management procedures, and security protocols. • Maintain and update network documentation including logical and physical diagrams using tools like Visio. • Perform regular and emergency network updates and patches as needed. • Support cross-functional systems administration tasks in Linux and/or Windows environments. • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and service improvements. • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with employees, stakeholders, and external vendors. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. • Professional-level Cisco certification required (CCNA); CCNP or higher preferred. • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting Cisco-based network infrastructure. • Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies. • Experience with DMVPN, and point-to-point VPNs • Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, Global protect • Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CheckMK. • Experience with system administration in Linux and/or Windows environments. • Exposure to CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation is a plus. • Ability to create network and system design documents and diagrams. • Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work across teams and manage projects independently. Technical Skills: • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or CI/CD pipelines for network or system configuration is preferred. • Familiarity with scripting or automation in Bash, PowerShell, or Python is a plus. • Working experience with system administration in Linux and/or Windows environments. • Competency in creating and maintaining network diagrams, Visio documentation, and change control records. • Experience managing and troubleshooting wireless access points, controllers, and network segmentation. • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, NAT, and other core networking protocols. • Proficiency in network monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CheckMK. • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and administration in AWS and Azure. • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and related software, including GlobalProtect VPN. • Advanced understanding of Cisco networking technologies including routing, switching, VLANs, and wireless infrastructure.
