Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator Department: IT Reports to: CTO Position Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructures, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of LAN and WAN networking and can troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, implement new technologies, and provide strategic guidance to optimize our systems and processes. Key Areas of Responsibility: • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. • Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of critical applications and services. • Implement and manage security measures to protect data, systems, and networks from potential threats. • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. • Design, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks across all office locations and auction sites, ensuring optimal performance and security. • Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to safeguard the company's data and network infrastructure. • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution. • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new software and hardware into the network, including Microsoft Office and Dynamics applications. • Maintain detailed documentation of network design, configurations, and procedures for efficient troubleshooting and future expansion. • Provide technical support and training to staff members as needed, ensuring they can utilize company resources effectively and securely. • Coordinate and manage on-site network setup and support during annual auctions in Scottsdale and West Palm Beach. • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in network technology and industry best practices, recommending improvements and upgrades as necessary. Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in system administration or network engineering • Certification in network security and monitoring (e.g., CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) are a plus. • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Dynamics applications. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff members. • Willingness to travel to annual auction events in Scottsdale and West Palm Beach • A strong team player with a proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning. Team members are in the office 5 days per week, 8am to 5pm at the Scottsdale, AZ headquarters. During live events the company largely travels together to produce and ensure each event is a success. This requires weekend work and long hours.
