Additional Job Description About This Job As a Data Analyst Intern on our Enterprise Analytics & Business Intelligence (EABI) team, you will gain hands-on experience working with data and building skills in analytics, reporting, and visualization. You’ll work alongside experienced analysts who will mentor you on meaningful project work, exposure to real-world tools, and the banking business. In addition, the Data Analyst Intern will network, collaborate, and present with peer interns from across Commerce Bank. Essential Functions • Write efficient data queries to varied types of products and customer analysis. • Develop dashboards and analysis to support consumer lines of business requests. • Compile data analysis and reporting for data analysts. • Present data analysis summary results to team members and business line leadership. • Perform other duties as assigned. Work Schedule • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm • Hybrid Schedule: In office 2-3 days per week Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required • Motivated to learn and apply data analysis concepts in real-world use cases. • Organized; self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Education & Experience • Prefer a sophomore/junior with an Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related major. • PC Skills include Microsoft Office with basic proficiency in Excel. • Basic understanding of SQL is strongly preferred. • Exposure to Python, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, or data engineering concepts is a plus. • *Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship • **For individuals applying, assigned and/or hired to work in areas with pay transparency requirements, Commerce is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for some roles.
