Role Title: Senior Architect - GitHub & DevOps Location: Austin, TX (*This is an onsite position in Austin, TX. Candidates must have an Austin area home address 7 days prior to start date and must be available to come to office all days*) Duration: 1 Year + Required Skills: • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or systems architecture, including leadership roles. • Expertise in GitHub Enterprise: branching strategies, repository management, GitHub Actions, Packages, and Advanced Security. • Strong background in DevOps principles: CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and observability. • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). • Strong communication and leadership skills to influence across engineering and leadership teams. Responsibilities: Senior Architect with deep experience in GitHub and DevOps to lead the design and implementation of our development operations. In this role, you will build and scale a modern, secure, and efficient software delivery ecosystem that empowers our engineering teams to deliver with speed, quality, and confidence. • Lead Development Operations Architecture o Define the overall GitHub strategy, including repository structure, branching models, and governance. o Establish scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools. o Integrate testing, security, and compliance into every stage of the software lifecycle. • Enable Engineering Productivity o Introduce best practices for code reviews, automation, and collaboration. o Partner with engineering and operations to drive developer efficiency and reliability. o Lead training and documentation to ensure adoption across teams. • Advance DevOps & Cloud Practices o Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). o Build automated monitoring, alerting, and observability into systems. o Ensure secure handling of secrets, access, and compliance requirements.
