TheData Management Analystresearches, analyzes, compiles, and reports population, outcomes, and other related information to the Adult Probation Department and Superior Court executive leaders, department managers, and staff. The data is often shared with a wide variety of external stakeholders, including funders. The Data Management Analyst will be expected to obtain data from various data systems and the Court, perform analysis on complex departmental issues, prepare deliverables, and provide recommendations for process improvements.This position will also write and edit detailed reports including but not limited to data analysis results, survey findings, program evaluations, research trends, and will contribute to departmental publications. The Data Integrity and Analytics (DIA) department objectively and creatively communicates data analytics in a straightforward manner to all audiences, supports policy and decision-making by assessing case flow processing, probation case management elements, , resource and staffing needs, fairness and access to justice for the public, and other data driven needs. Utilizes Excel, SSRS, or other database or statistical software to query and report on data obtained from the various case management systems and other sources, including analysis on large and complex data sets. • Uses research to develop and implement strategies to improve processes and methods. • Coordinates and leads cross-functional project teams to accomplish specific goals, including evaluating and summarizing department and/or grant initiatives and programs. • Assists managers with planning, developing and implementing projects and evaluating results. • Provides support in administering the Judicial Branch strategic plan and developing performance measures. • Collaborates with others to review code documentation to understand and assist in the review of reports. • Designs survey instruments, collects data, analyzes, reports results, and assists with the development of strategies to impact results. • Analyzes information and presents analysis orally and/or in a written format. • Writes professional reports and correspondence to communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner. • Assists with or manages publications, including editing, writing, design, and data visualization. • Evaluates business processes and data entry to recommend process improvements. • Collaborates with units throughout the department to improve data reliability and integrity and automate internal reporting. • Works with department units to utilize data to analyze needs and support innovation. • Conducts regular reviews of data and assist in data clean-up as needed. • Provides training and detailed instructions on existing and newly developed reports. • Assists other DIA staff with Department planning, research and policy analysis activities. • Serves as liaison with other organizations, including research and evaluation partners and funding sources. • Represents the Division in meetings as needed. • May provide oversight and supervision to Data Management Assistants and interns/volunteers as needed.
