biBERK Insurance Services is seeking a Senior Cloud Administrator to manage and enhance their Azure cloud infrastructure while ensuring security and compliance. This role involves collaboration across teams to maintain a resilient and transparent technical platform.
As THREE continues to scale, so does the complexity of our cloud infrastructure and regulatory environment. We're looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Administrator to take full ownership of our Azure ecosystem, lead security and compliance initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to keep our systems resilient, compliant, and transparent. You won't just keep the lights on - you'll be a technical owner and strategist of our cloud environment, working closely with engineering, leadership, and auditors to drive a secure foundation for everything we build. THREE combines multiple business-critical coverages that small businesses need - like liability, cyber and workers compensation - into a single, plain-English, three-page policy. Like an open-source codebase, there's no fine print or surprises. See for yourself: https://threeinsurance.com/the-policy. We're on a mission to simplify small business insurance, and we believe a well-functioning and secure technical platform is core to that mission. This role is your chance to shape that platform from the inside out. You'll be a great fit for the role if you: • Are excited to own infrastructure end-to-end, from networking to identity to monitoring. • Want to be the go-to person for security posture, compliance status, and vendor management. • Enjoy working directly with engineers, leaders, and external partners to implement cross-company initiatives. Job Responsibilities • Manage and evolve our Azure environment, including IAM, VNet architecture, compute/storage, and platform services. • Lead implementation and maintenance of controls, including documentation, monitoring, and audit prep. • Maintain detection systems (IDS), firewall config, and vulnerability scanners. • Monitor open-source packages and dependencies for known vulnerabilities and keep remediation tracked and prioritized. • Collaborate with engineering and leadership to translate compliance lessons from biBerk (our sister company) into enforceable THREE policies. • Respond to alerts, review logs, rotate secrets, and proactively manage our system health. • Guide security and cloud decisions across projects, and lead testing efforts. Qualifications Required Experience: • Experience owning cloud infrastructure, ideally in Azure. • Experience managing third-party vendors, SaaS tooling, and internal platform integrations. • Strong grasp of networking, IAM, firewall configs, and incident response. • Track record of effective cross-functional communication. • Experience leading security test efforts and remediating any issues that arise. • Comfort mentoring engineers on security best practices. Preferred Experience: • Prior experience in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries. • Fluency with Terraform, CI/CD tools, and modern DevOps practices.
