The ideal candidate has extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solution. This individual will work collaboratively with CData Business Units, Security, DevOps teams to create secure efficient IT Cloud and Web Applications Services. Location(s): North Carolina Research Triangle preferred, or U.S. Remote Key Duties & Responsibilities: Proactively monitor virtual machines (VMs), web services, SSL certificates, and critical business applications across Azure, AWS, and GCP to ensure high availability and performance. Triage and resolve system outages, break-fix issues, and high-priority service disruptions reported by global teams, ensuring minimal business impact. Perform regular maintenance, configuration, and optimization of cloud environments, including VM provisioning, patch management, and cost control. Administer Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services, managing user lifecycle events, access controls, and integrations with third-party tools. Assist in developing, implementing, and auditing governance policies for identity and access management (IAM), resource tagging, cost tracking, and security baselines. Create detailed incident reports, system documentation, and architecture diagrams to support operational transparency and knowledge sharing. Work closely with engineering, support, sales, and marketing teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver IT service requests and infrastructure improvements. Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency by creating scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform. Evaluate existing tools and propose upgrades or replacements to improve system reliability, observability, and team productivity. Participate in after-hours support rotations and lead cross-functional communications during major incidents or outages. Coordinate with the Security team to investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and risk mitigation. Qualifications: 2+ years in cloud systems providing application infrastructure support. 5+ years in a technical support/similar entry role. Experience with Azure (VMs, AD, networking, certificate management). Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and infrastructure. Experience with observability tools (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, datadog). Experience with Windows and Linux server troubleshooting. Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune). Azure AD and Conditional Access. Strong written and verbal communication. Collaborative mindset with Proactive problem solving and attention to detail. Identify and deliver solutions that support the business needs. Strong passion and technical capabilities to support increasingly complex projects. Proactive engagement in continuous improvements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Scripting/automation with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash. Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud fundamentals. Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of Security best practices in the cloud.
