Seeking a Data Solutions Architect in Tempe, AZ- You'll be part of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team that values your ideas and contributions! • Location: Tempe, AZ – 3 days a week in office (Tempe location). • Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm • Salary: $135,000 Required: • Must be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) as this person will work with government information. Security Clearance preferred and/or ability to obtain one. • Microsoft Fabric - may have data bricks/snowflake experience but need to have Fabric. Summary: The Data Solutions Architect will be responsible for strategically designing and implementing business intelligence, data warehouses, and data integration solutions as an integrated centrally designed platform while ensuring high levels of data availability and quality. This individual will also be responsible for defining data standards and models for enterprise data architectures. Responsibilities: • Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models. • Create models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores. • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data systems. • Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance and follow best practice. • Document the data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture. • Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity. • Identify inefficiencies and gaps in the current data platform and leverage solutions to ensure data standards • Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization. • Mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, to ensure data quality. • Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models. • Work with data team and end-users to identify, create, and deliver data and reports according to requirements. • Diagnose and work with IT and data personnel to resolve data warehouse access and performance issues. • Design and manage ETL processes and data pipeline code. Other information: Education / Experience • A bachelor's degree (or related experience) in a relevant technical field including, but not limited to computer science, computer engineering, information systems, mathematics, or systems engineering. • 3+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols), including technical experience designing, modeling, building, installing, configuring, and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses. • Experience with data platforms and modeling, including Azure data platform, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure/MS Analysis Services. • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, PowerQuery (M-language) and DAX. • Experience with Infor Data Lake a plus. • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques, developing data information flows, business process modeling and analyzing business requirements. • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile/scrum methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations. Decisions may have input from other domain experts, project team members, customers, department management and governance structures. • Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to critically analyze business processes and independently solve problems in a complex development environment. • Applies analytical skills, problem solving techniques, project management skills and coordination to make decisions essential to maintaining accurate and reliable design models and applications. • Effective organization and prioritization skills. • Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks. • Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills. • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. • Strong written and oral communication skills.
