About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled SQL Server Database Engineer with strong expertise in performance tuning, optimization, and cloud migration. This role requires a professional with deep technical knowledge in SQL Server and Azure SQL, capable of designing, maintaining, and optimizing complex database environments in enterprise-level systems. Responsibilities • Support database setups in active-active configurations and ensure optimal database performance. • Work extensively with Stored Procedures (SPs), including splitting, optimizing, and migrating changes from SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI) to Azure SQL. • Perform SQL Server performance tuning and optimization (5+ years of experience required). • Analyze and modify complex stored procedures as needed. • Design and maintain logical and physical database models, schemas, triggers, stored procedures, and related objects. • Develop, unit test, and troubleshoot SQL Server solutions, including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS (desirable). • Leverage advanced knowledge of T-SQL, functions, and stored procedure programming/design. • Execute database migrations from Azure SQL MI to Azure SQL. • Work with Azure Data Factory (2+ years) for data integration and workflows. • Update and make necessary changes to SSIS packages. • Provide and implement alternative solutions for cross-database calls. Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of proven experience in SQL Server development, performance tuning, and optimization. • Strong expertise in Stored Procedures design, maintenance, and optimization. • Solid experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure SQL migration. • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory. • Proficiency in SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a plus. • Strong understanding of logical and physical database design principles. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to propose innovative solutions. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
