Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) 2 Email Systems Administrator Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (On-site)(Need EX-USPS Candidate)(Preffered Secruity Clearence) Industry: Government / Federal IT Services Job Category: Email Systems Administration / IT Infrastructure Support Overview The USPS is seeking an experienced SME to provide expert-level support and contribute to the evolution and maintenance of enterprise email systems. The role focuses on managing Microsoft Exchange and Broadcom/Symantec Mail Gateway environments, ensuring email security, and supporting integrations with other platforms. Position Contract (W2 only) Responsibilities • Provide expert-level technical support for enterprise email infrastructure • Manage user accounts, distribution lists, and policies within Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 • Maintain and troubleshoot Broadcom/Symantec Mail Gateway (SMG) • Ensure compliance with email security best practices (spam filtering, antivirus, encryption) • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to email delivery, protocols, and configuration • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration with other platforms • Analyze logs and network behavior to support system monitoring and diagnostics Requirement Qualifications • Bachelor's with 18+ years or Master's with 16+ years of relevant experience • Extensive experience with Broadcom/Symantec Mail Gateway (SMG) • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 • Proficient in SMTP, POP, IMAP, and email server management • Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of security protocols • Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities • Preferred: MCSE certification, network/log analysis experience, familiarity with HTTP, SSL, SSH Candidate Details To be provided upon submission; must reflect advanced expertise in Microsoft Exchange, Broadcom SMG, and enterprise email administration.
