Rob – RMA 612 417 6496 Business Driver: • Replace our current RH resource (Elias Tadesse) with someone more technically strong in SQL stored procedures and Power BI development. • We are undergoing a major data transformation initiative, a full migration of their data warehouse and business applications to the Azure Cloud. • We are transitioning from legacy SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports and Universe structures to a SQL / Power BI-based reporting environment. • This role is a sole contributor position and will require someone capable of independently owning and driving reporting development and data-related responsibilities from end to end. Nice to have: Experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) and Universe Need: • Power BI Reports and Dashboard (4–5 years): • Strong experience in report building, semantic modeling, and data visualization • Understanding of Power BI report lifecycle management, security, data restriction and deployment • Familiarity with change control processes and sign-off procedures (IT & Business) • Experience with Power BI semantic layer • SQL Server (5+ years): • Deep expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL stored procedures and queries • Proficient in using cursors, debugging SQL code, and performing query optimization • Strong understanding of data governance and secure report deployment Biggest challenge expected for role: Dealing with legacy SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports and Universe structures. It would be highly beneficial if the candidate has prior experience or familiarity with BOBJ, the individuals who previously managed and maintained these systems are no longer with the organization.
