7128 - Senior IT Developer / Solutions Architect (Azure, Oracle, ColdFusion) Local to the SF Bay Area to be considered Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Developer / Solutions Architect to provide design, development, and support for enterprise-scale applications. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, delivering system enhancements, ensuring secure integrations, and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in full-cycle application development, modern cloud platforms, and database optimization, with the ability to bridge business and technical needs. This is a remote position, with preference for candidates located in California. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, document solutions, and recommend system improvements. • Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise application enhancements. • Architect, install, and upgrade ColdFusion/Lucee server platforms to ensure high performance and reliability. • Design, optimize, and support Oracle 19c databases, including writing efficient SQL and implementing performance-tuning best practices. • Automate and administer Linux environments with shell scripting and configuration management. • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. • Design and deploy secure, scalable cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, serverless). • Configure and manage Azure Active Directory and identity solutions for centralized authentication. • Integrate secure payment gateways, incorporating encryption, tokenization, and PCI DSS compliance. • Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve user issues in a timely manner. • Prepare technical documentation, deployment plans, and design artifacts. • Deliver monthly status reports and ensure compliance with project requirements. Required Qualifications • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in software design, development, and architecture. • Proven experience collaborating with SMEs and translating technical strategies into clear business terms. • Strong expertise with ColdFusion/Lucee development and server administration. • Proficiency in Oracle 19c database design, development, and optimization. • Experience with Linux administration and automation. • Demonstrated ability to design and support secure payment integrations with industry compliance. • Expertise in cloud development with Microsoft Azure, including architecture and deployment. • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. • Experience producing technical specifications, system documentation, and architectural diagrams. • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, SDN). Desired Skills • Experience with Lucee and Adobe ColdFusion CFML (custom tags, APIs, performance tuning). • Ability to serve as both Business Systems Analyst and Developer when needed. • Proficiency with relational and cloud databases (SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB). • Hands-on experience with Java (Spring/Hibernate), JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5/CSS3, XML/XSD, JSON, REST APIs. • Prior experience supporting government, courts, or public-sector projects. • Experience enhancing reporting, logging, and scheduling processes. • Knowledge of application modernization strategies including refactoring, containerization, and cloud-native adoption. Additional Information • Start Date: November 1, 2025 • Initial Term: 12 months, with up to two option years
