• $225k + bonus (up to $300k in total comp) • Hybrid - 3 days onsite in LA Cloud Security Engineering & Operations (Sr. Manager/Director/VP) About the Role We’re looking for a cloud security leader to own strategy, engineering, and operations across our enterprise cloud environments (primarily Azure). In this role, you’ll lead a small team and partner closely with cloud platform, architecture, security, and compliance groups to keep our environments secure, compliant, and business-ready. This is a hands-on leadership role in a regulated investment environment where you’ll drive automation, proactive defense, and a secure operating model across multi-cloud workloads. What You’ll Do • Set the strategy for cloud security engineering & operations, aligned to risk, regulations, and business goals. • Lead cloud security architecture & operations (Azure, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, containers, serverless). • Oversee tooling and lifecycle management (Defender suite, Azure Policy, SIEM/SOAR, CSPM, CIEM, encryption, PAM). • Embed security by design into workloads and identity models (Zero Trust, least privilege, RBAC). • Govern secure baselines, automated policy enforcement (IaC, CI/CD), and posture management. • Partner with SecOps, IR, and threat intel to enhance detection, readiness, and playbooks. • Ensure compliance with SEC, SOX, GDPR, NYDFS, NIST, and ISO frameworks. • Mentor and grow engineers, while managing budgets and vendor negotiations. What We’re Looking For • 10+ years in information security, including 5+ in cloud security leadership (Azure preferred). • Proven track record building/leading cloud security programs at scale. • Deep expertise with Azure security services; AWS/GCP experience a plus. • Knowledge of Zero Trust, identity security, encryption, DevSecOps, and detection & response. • Experience in regulated industries (investment management or financial services ideal). • Strong communicator with executive presence and cross-functional leadership skills. Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree required. • Preferred: Microsoft Certified (Azure Architect/Security Engineer), CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent.
