This position is supervised by the Supervisory IT Specialist. The incumbent serves as a Resource and Patient Management Systems Administrator and work involves a broad range of highly technical administrative duties associated with the provision and use of information management technology. Duties Help Major Duties: • Resource and Patient Management Systems (RPMS) System Administrator responsible for the systems availability. • Participates in the guidance, direction, and support of information management needs. • Analyzes/coordinates the analysis of data sources, information use, data processing and storage requirements and information flow. • Responsible for the systems administrator functions such as hardware and system software installation, system and network administration, system and performance monitoring. • Reviews and provides appropriate levels of access to sensitive data ensuring the rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Work experience in a health care information technology environment, installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components with minimum guidance and oversight. Knowledge of InterSystems Ensemble/Cache, Resource & Patient Management System (RPMS), AIX Unix or Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, MUMPS, and other programming environments. OR Education: Completed 3 years of graduate education leading to Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks (must submit copy of transcripts). GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Work experience in a health care information technology environment, installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware and software components, operating in a senior capacity, independently, with minimum guidance and oversight. Knowledge of Ensemble, Resource and Patient Management (RPMS), AIX Unix, or Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, MUMPS, and other programming environments.
