Job Summary: Establishes and maintains the enterprise’s needs for computer hardware, software and networking. Develop, test, install, and configure new or existing computer methods. Responsibilities: • Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience. • Assist the system admin, help desk staff in problems that are beyond their scope or skill set. • Analyzing and resolving faults from a system down • Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly • Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed. • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments • Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups • Other duties as assigned by management and as appropriate to the position Skills/Qualifications: • Deep understanding of Microsoft Enterprise products (Windows Server, SQL, and Exchange) • Understanding of VMware (vSphere, network virtualization, and storage virtualization) • Minor understanding of networking protocols and products • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools • Ability to obtain a Valid Passport when needed • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds Experience/Education: • 2 – 5 years of related experience • Associate’s degree in computer science or related discipline required; Bachelor’s degree preferred • Computer related professional certifications preferred • Experience with Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems 2016 to 2022 • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 • Dell Enterprise Servers and SANs (DRAC, Boot from SAN) • Windows and Linux Servers • Windows and Exchange Powershell • Virtual Systems: VMWare (ESXi and vCenter) We offer competitive wages, an excellent benefit package, including a contributory 401(K), and tuition reimbursement.
