Greystone IT is currently seeking an Accounting Systems Specialist with expertise in Workday Financials. This position has a key role in the design, configuration, development, and implementation of the Company’s future financial system, Workday Financials. The ideal candidate is a professional with a broad base of accounting experience combined with strong, experience-based IT competencies applied within Workday Financials. This position will work on the team that currently supports Dynamics 365 Business Central, Concur Travel and Expense, Jet Reports, Fixed Assets CS, and custom integration between these systems. This position supports a wide range of other financial system activities, including process development and documentation, administration of the Company’s standardized configurations, and ownership of interfaces between financial management and external systems. This role has the opportunity to work remotely. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist the Company with the current implementation of Workday Financials. • Work directly with accounting to analyze and evaluate current state processes and define future state processes based on business objectives and Workday system functionality. • Present and explain software capabilities to accounting and other IT personnel to identify potential process improvement implementations. • Development of business process documentation, system training and support procedures for Workday Financials. • Apply and share expertise and knowledge of accounting processes and standard methodologies. • Ownership and maintenance of accounting systems. • Maintain current accounting system’s setups and standards: Company setup, Consolidations, Intercompany, Customers, Suppliers, and Security maintenance within Workday. • Assist accounting with month-end consolidation, year-end close and reconciliation processes. • Develop and maintain accounting and management report. Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Effectiveness in this role requires strong people skills and technical competencies in both accounting and IT. • Strong understanding of Workday Core Financials, Financial Planning, Prism Analytics, Accounting Center. • Strong understanding of Workday consolidations and intercompany. • Experienced in Workday configuration and business processes. • Workday Reporting experience. • Experienced in gathering business requirements, writing functional/technical specifications, and creating test scripts/plans. • Experienced in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. • Superior communication skills to effectively communicate with different audiences and bridge the gap between business users and technical teams. • Experienced in project management, implementation, data migration, user training, and product support. • Experienced report designer writing and data analytic skills. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Undergraduate degree in IT / Accounting. • 5+ years of experience in relevant Accounting and IT experience. • 3+ years of experience in working in an “ERP-type” financial systems with Workday experience preferred. • Workday Pro Certifications a plus: • Workday Pro Platform Administrator • Workday Pro - Financials Reporting • Workday Pro - Prism Analytics At Greystone, we believe that finding creative solutions for our clients comes from the collaboration of people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
