Business System Administrator - IT BUSINESS: Refinery Valves LOCATION: Channelview, TX REPORTS TO: Director, IT POSITION DETAILS Position Summary: As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of business systems and applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, troubleshoot technical and functional issues, and assist in identifying solutions that support business operations and strategic goals. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a desire to continuously improve systems and processes in a collaborative environment. Principal Activities You will: • Coordinate and manage operational projects to ensure timely completion within scope and budget • Support process improvements through collaboration with functional teams and data-driven decision-making • Support the maintenance and administration of core business systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and other applications • Work closely with business users and IT teams to gather requirements, document processes, and assist in troubleshooting software and system issues • Help monitor system performance and report any issues or enhancement opportunities to senior team members • Collaborate with team members on system testing, data validation, and user training • Assist in the preparation of documentation including user guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials • Participate in application configuration and minor system updates under the direction of senior analysts or developers • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for efficiency and automation • Stay up to date on systems and tools relevant to the organization and participate in professional development activities • Support compliance activities and assist with documentation required for internal controls and audits • Perform other duties as assigned CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities You Have: • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools • Working knowledge of process improvement strategies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence • Experience with project coordination and cross-functional collaboration • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills • The ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision • A commitment to Critical Flow Solutions’ core values: Customer Intimacy, Team Before Self, Accountability, Innovation, and Safety • Demonstrated competencies in adaptability, communication, teamwork, and results orientation Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business, or related field • 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or project coordination • Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus • Experience in continuous improvement, quality, or operations support roles preferred • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business, or related field Our Benefits: • Comprehensive healthcare plans • PTO and family leave • 401(k) • Work Life Balance • Career Development • Other Benefits & Perks About Critical Flow Solutions Critical Flow Solutions’ unmatched expertise in design and engineering of severe-service equipment for delayed coking and fluid catalytic cracking have earned our brands a place as a recognized industry leaders for mission-critical valves and flow control equipment around the globe for nearly seven decades.
